Most questions patients call about fall into one of the pages below. Each one covers a single topic, and each one ends with the same fallback: if you cannot find the answer, call or text (713) 668-8383 and a person will tell you.
- Patient forms: what paperwork we need and how to get it before your visit
- Financial options: insurance, payment, and ways to spread out the cost of treatment
- Cherry: a third-party payment plan you can apply for
- In-office discount program: our membership option for patients without dental insurance
- Referral giveaway: how sending a friend our way works
Before your first appointment
- Book the visit. Request a time through our online portal, or call or text (713) 668-8383.
- Ask about forms. Our front desk will tell you which paperwork applies to you and how to receive it, so you are not filling it out in the waiting room.
- Have your plan details ready. If you carry dental insurance, share the plan details ahead of time and we will check how your coverage applies.
- Tell us your preferences. Let us know if you would rather be seen in Spanish, Russian, or Hebrew, or if dental visits make you anxious. Both change how we run the appointment.
Paying for dental care
We work with many PPO dental plans and file claims for our patients. Coverage varies a lot between plans, even ones with the same name, so call or text us with your details and we will check how yours applies before treatment.
If you do not carry dental insurance, ask about our in-office discount program. For larger treatment, Cherry is a third-party financing company you can apply to for a payment plan. Approval and terms are set by Cherry, not by the practice.
Whatever route you take, ask for an estimate before treatment starts. Our front desk would rather have that conversation up front than surprise you afterward.
Things worth calling about
Some answers change too often to publish, and some depend entirely on your own situation. Those are the ones to call or text us about at (713) 668-8383.
- Whether your specific insurance plan is one we work with
- An estimate for treatment Dr. Valter has recommended
- Tooth pain, a broken tooth, or anything that started suddenly
Common questions
How do I book an appointment at Bellaire Dental Group?
Request a time through our online appointment portal, or call or text (713) 668-8383. Office hours are Monday and Tuesday 8a to 5p, Wednesday and Thursday 7a to 3p, and Friday 8a to 12p.
Do you take dental insurance?
We work with many PPO dental plans and file claims for our patients. Because benefits differ from plan to plan, call or text (713) 668-8383 to confirm how your specific plan applies before your appointment.
What if I do not have dental insurance?
Ask about our in-office discount program, which is designed for patients without dental coverage. You can also apply to Cherry, a third-party financing company, for a payment plan on larger treatment.
Do I need to fill out forms before my visit?
Usually yes, for new patients. Call or text (713) 668-8383 and our front desk will tell you which forms apply to you and how to receive them ahead of time.
What should I do about a dental emergency?
Call or text (713) 668-8383 and say that you are in pain or think it is an emergency. If it is outside office hours and the situation is severe, involves facial swelling, or follows a serious injury, seek urgent medical care.
